Whenever I go to an area with no service, I get an error message saying that since the phone could not contact the IMAP server, header retrieval is being disabled. I then have to manually go in and re-enable the setting. Even if the phone is set to check for messages every 5 minutes, if I lose signal for a short time, I will not get email until I notice the error and reset the header retrieval option. I lose service several times a day so obviously this prevents the e61 from being an "always on" email device. When I stay in either cell range or wi-fi range, the phone works as expected, but sometimes all it takes is switching from wi-fi to cell, or vice versa to trigger this error and require a manual reset of the automatic header retrieval setting. |
