Summary |
0000061: Phone reboots after streaming RealAudio for 40+ minutes |
|
Description |
I’ve noticed a bug with the latest FW (2.0618.06.05) with Real Audio streaming. I stream Real Audio via Real Player to listen to BBC Radio 1 and 2. I’ve noticed that if you listen for a long time (40 minutes plus) and try to exit, the sound stops but the app doesn’t exit. If you leave it for a while it eventually quits and drops you back to the “front screen”. All seems well until you try to dial a number (can be minutes or hours later). The phone will start to ring but the display will still have the number as you just typed it in, no indication of it connecting. A few seconds later it will reboot. Using Real Player for short amounts of time, say 15 minutes does not cause the crash. I have been able to repeat the crash on every occasion but have not as yet identified the “danger zone” for playback time.
I am using WPA encryption if that makes any difference although I haven’t tried it without and hadn’t got round to testing the Real Audio streaming when I had the old V1.xxx firmware. |
